Government Launches “Your Money, Your Right” Campaign for Unclaimed Financial Assets
The Government of India launched the nationwide “आपकी पूँजी, आपका अधिकार — Your Money, Your Right” campaign to assist citizens in reclaiming unclaimed financial assets like bank deposits, insurance proceeds, dividends, shares, mutual funds, and pensions. These assets become inactive due to dormancy or lack of awareness. Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary noted that nearly ₹2,000 crore worth of assets were settled and returned to owners in the first two months. The initiative has seen strong public response. It aims to restore citizens' rightful financial resources efficiently.
