INDIA bloc stages Delhi rally over voter-roll revision
The INDIA bloc organised a mass protest at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi against alleged irregularities in voter-roll revision. Opposition parties described the mobilisation as a “Save the Vote, Save the Country” campaign. They accused the Election Commission of excluding legitimate voters during the Special Intensive Revision exercise. The opposition alleged that 13.2 crore voters had been deleted from the rolls. The Election Commission denied wrongdoing and said the exercise aimed to remove duplicate, deceased and ineligible voters.
