Cyclone Murasu forecast to cross Andhra Pradesh coast

Cyclone Murasu intensified over the west-central Bay of Bengal. The India Meteorological Department forecast landfall near the south Andhra Pradesh coast between Nellore and Narsapur, close to Ongole. Landfall was expected between late November 2 and early November 3, 2026. The system was predicted to bring winds of 100–110 kmph, with gusts up to 120 kmph. Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Tamil Nadu authorities prepared evacuations and emergency measures. Fishing activity was suspended because of very rough to phenomenal sea conditions.[4]
