- 16 Aug 2025: LIC notified <strong>350</strong> AAO (Generalist) posts, alongside 410 AAO (Specialist) and 81 Assistant Engineer posts in a companion notification.
- 3 & 7 Oct 2025: Online preliminary exam held on 3 October; some sessions at one Bhagalpur centre were re-held on 7 October.
- 8 Nov 2025: Online main exam held; the Generalist mains result (4 Feb 2026) called <strong>1,119</strong> candidates for interview.
- 14 May 2026: After interview and medical exam, <strong>333</strong> Generalist candidates were found eligible and will be called for training.
- Oct 2026: LIC has not yet published the next (33rd batch) AAO notification; its careers page still lists only the 2025 recruitment.

Pay as given in LIC's 2025 notification (para 4), plus admissible allowances. LIC puts total emoluments at the minimum of the scale at about ₹1,26,000 a month in an 'A' class city.

Not as of 12 October 2026. The latest official recruitment is the 2025 (32nd batch) drive notified on 16 August 2025, which ended with the post-medical list of 14 May 2026. LIC has announced no date for the next notification.

<strong>350</strong> AAO (Generalist) posts — UR 142, OBC 91, SC 51, ST 28, EWS 38. LIC also notified 410 AAO (Specialist) and 81 Assistant Engineer posts, 841 in all.
Is there negative marking in LIC AAO?
No, not for AAO (Generalist) — the 2025 notification says there are no negative marks in prelims or mains. The AAO (Specialist) prelims did carry a ¼-mark penalty.
