Overview

RRB NTPC (Graduate) recruits degree holders for non-technical posts in Indian Railways through two computer-based tests followed by document verification and a medical test. You apply to one RRB only.

RRB NTPC 2026 exam pattern

Both CBTs are objective, with questions in English, Hindi and 13 regional languages. CBT-1 only shortlists; merit for document verification comes from CBT-2 normalised marks. The typing skill test is dispensed with for CEN 06/2026.

2026 = CEN 06/2026 (Graduate); 2025 = CEN 06/2025 (Graduate, 5,810 incl. Station Master and Traffic Assistant). The 2025 Undergraduate CEN 07/2025 (3,058 posts) is separate; no 2026 Undergraduate CEN has been published yet. Vacancies may increase or decrease.

The notification gives the 7th CPC pay level and initial pay for each post; it does not publish gross or in-hand figures. Allowances are paid as per Railway rules.

What is the last date to apply for RRB NTPC 2026?

Apply online for CEN 06/2026 by 6 November 2026 (23:59) on rrbapply.gov.in. The fee can be paid until 8 November, and corrections are allowed from 9 to 18 November for ₹250.

How many vacancies are there in RRB NTPC Graduate 2026?

CEN 06/2026 lists 3,548 provisional vacancies across all RRBs — 2,750 of them for Goods Train Manager. RRBs may revise the numbers.

Is Station Master included in RRB NTPC 2026?

No. CEN 06/2026 covers only Chief Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor, Goods Train Manager, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist and Senior Clerk cum Typist. Station Master and Traffic Assistant were part of CEN 06/2025.

What is the age limit for RRB NTPC Graduate 2026?

18 to 33 years as on 1 January 2027. OBC-NCL get 3 years of relaxation, SC/ST 5 years and PwBD 10 years (more for OBC/SC/ST PwBD).

Is there a typing test in RRB NTPC 2026?

No. RRB has dispensed with the typing skill test for the typist posts under CEN 06/2026; typing proficiency will be assessed after joining.

Is there negative marking in RRB NTPC?

Yes. One-third of a mark is deducted for every wrong answer in both CBT-1 and CBT-2.

When will the RRB NTPC 2026 CBT-1 be held?

RRB has not announced it yet. Exam dates, city intimation and e-call letters will be posted on the official RRB websites.

Has the RRB NTPC Undergraduate 2026 notification come out?

Not yet. The latest Undergraduate notification is CEN 07/2025 (3,058 posts), whose CBT-2 was held on 17 September 2026.
